LDCS is a new web-based solution that makes it easy to access precise mail assignment data. Offered by the USPS, LDCS provides site-specific mail stream visibility, enabling USPS facilities managers to optimize resource planning and achieve greater efficiencies. LDCS features a centralized database. The system collects data from USPS networked transaction concentrators (TC) and creates reports on this collected data. The reports include the expected number of mail pieces and their expected weight. These invaluable reports are created for a user-specified period of time for the selected facilities, and allow each USPS facility to plan accordingly.
